Ireland’s Taoiseach spends a night at the opera

Ireland’s young prime minister Leo Varadkar is showing Macron-like tendencies in his need to catch up on the culture.

He was guest of honour at the last night of the Wexford Festival.

  • Wexford does off beat operas which other places don’t do like Balfe’s Bohemian Girl . mostly obscure ones, they fly the whole lost in, orchestra and all instead of using RTE orchestra.

    • Wexford has its own orchestra and chorus so don’t know where that comment came from. The PM’s name isVaradkar.
