I’m not a dance aficionado myself, but I know intimately a few people who are and Alistair Macaulay’s reputation among professional dancers is not one of respect. I don’t imagine a single person will be sorry to see him gone.
I’m not impressed by her taste or knowledge, but she can write well, and at least now she has a secure job; at least she is (presumably) an American, and presumably, she will now educate herself on everything she should know about dance in the past as well as the present.
