Whatever became of Mateja Marinkovic?
mainA somewhat controversial violin professor at the Royal Academy of Music in London, Mateja Marinkovic has been a prolific teacher and performer in Europe until the last year, when things have gone a bit quiet.
We hear that Marinkovic left the RAM at the end of June 2017 to take up a post as professor of violin at the United International College in Tangjiawan, Guangdong Province, China.
The UIC has announced it as ‘a new beginning’.
His name still appears on the RAM site.
Maybe just disillusioned with the state of classical music in the west?
