Chamber orchestra hires rock guitar man
mainThe Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia has hired a rock guitar fan as its executive director.
William Rhoads, 49, is presently publicity flak – vice president of marketing and communications – at New York’s Orchestra of St. Luke’s.
Before that, he ran Bill Rhoads & Associates, publishing and representing Frank Zappa, John Zorn and Ornette Coleman, among others.
He may bring a dash of diversity to the staid Philadelphia scene.
