Opera singer-conductor Placido Domingo, left, gets a briefing from Jason Perron , Clean Energy Manager for BMW on the BMW Hydrogen 7 he will test drive or several weeks, in Washington D.C.     In New York, he used to be driven around in a Mercedes-Benz G-Class (the iconic military-inspired boxy SUV). The license plates read “PD KBE,” in a nod to the owner’s identity and his honorary knighthood. As they say: if you know, you know.
