Tragic death of Australian conductor, 53
RIPThe family has announced the death of Kellie Dickerson, a sought-after conductor working mainly in musical theatre. The cause of death was the neurodegenerative disorder, MSA.
An early member of the Symphony Australia Young Conductor’s Programme, Kellie was awarded an OAM in the 2022 Australia Day honours for service to the performing arts industry.
She worked on Wicked, Legally Blonde, Fiddler on the Roof and The Book of Mormon.

This is incredibly tragic news. I remember Kellie from our undergraduate days in the Music Department at Sydney University. She was a terrific pianist, and a warm and generous person. I feel blessed to have known Kellie, and send my most sincere condolences to her family.
