  • Joe Valentino says:

I’m immensely grateful for how you honor the lives of so many musicians who dedicate their lives honing their craft and making magic from notes on a page, Norman. But it’s so hard to read article after article hearing of all of the musicians who have left us. Is there any way you’d consider doing a weekly or bi-weekly round up? Of course there will be figures whose stature is larger than others, who would be notable exceptions, but this way you can still honor and we can learn about each of these remarkable musicians, but not see headline after headline on Slippedisc with the words “RIP”, “Loss”, and “Died”.

Such a shame. I enjoyed her recitals over the years.

Worth noting that her prelude and fugue in G will be premiered by another Quebec organist, Isabelle Demers, at the Proms at Royal Albert Hall on August 26.
