    Floored!

  • Barry Guerrero says:

A really good orchestra that deserves a truly great symphony hall. I believe Mr. Rattle wanted to make that happen, but alas . . . (and yes, I know – Rattle was with the L.S.O.).

  • Sandy Innes says:

Well, if that’s the most significant thing you can find to say then maybe you should just say nothing.

    • Barry Guerrero says:

If you’re directing your comment towards me, I don’t know this horn player. I’m sure she’s wonderful, or she wouldn’t have landed the job. “Congratulations” to Ms. Federle! If you or anyone are objecting to my description of the L.P.O. as being a “very good’ orchestra, I’m happy to up that description to ‘excellent’ orchestra. I don’t have a problem saying either.

  • Gary Freer says:

It’s a superb Orchestra, and on great form.

    • Barry Guerrero says:

. . . but in my opinion, still in need of a better symphony hall, as their own ‘in-house’ recordings can attest too (the playing is fine).
