Why not as soon as story will be told well and more people will know about it?

I am personally puzzled why Hollywood still haven’t filmed Mahler biopic – his life has all the needed drama. Hope that is so just of pure respect.

In unrelated news, Sphere Films, distributer for “Ethal”, files for bankruptcy in 2023

Next film will certainly feature a disabled sexually diverse person of non-white colour and orthodox minority religion.

A good time to check out Judy Collins’s 1974 documentary on Antonia Brico, said to be the first woman to conduct the Berlin and New York Philharmonics. It’s a story of frustrations, but Brico kept on working through the years.

I recall her appearance on Johnny Carson’s Tonight Show, where she conducted the NBC Orchestra (Severinsen’s, not Toscanini’s). Not edifying to watch, but give her credit for seizing her much-delayed moment.

    She’s great….I can relate.

Shira Haas is amazing – her performance in Unorthodox was spellbinding.
