    Uh, phrasing?

  • Günther Kraus says:

Linda Watson is, without a doubt, the best Brunhilda of her generation. I have had the privilege of seeing/hearing her a few times in Vienna, both in the Ring and in Rosenkavalier.
She was Thielemann’s Brunhilde of choice, with good reason.

    Leb Wohl, Frau Watson!

  • Larry says:

“Banged out?” Norman, you must translate that for us Yanks.

  • Singeril says:

To be clear, Linda Watson is NOT retiring (thank heavens). Her statement on Facebook (easy to find) was very clear. She is only ending her contract at the DOR.

  • Rolf Kristian Stang says:

Congratulations, Linda Watson! You’ve left your mark.
As we are more and more avalanched in gaudy pop, a career such as yours ends up being a bulwark for the continuation of profound music!

  • Adrian Autard says:

Congratulations to Frau K.S. Linda Watson, an amazing teacher to me but before all an outstanding Wagnerian Soprano! So proud to know her! An example for her generation but also for the upcoming ones!
