    Her conducting of Turandot is like she didn’t have a score, so someone described what the music was supposed to sound like to her, but they didn’t really speak her language so they had to use interpretive dance. It reminded me of looking at myself in the mirror when I had Belsy’s palsy. I thought I was smiling the the mirror said otherwise.

    „If the central drama feels neglected, it does not help that Lyniv’s coarse reading of the score fails to breathe life into the characters. Playing is generally loud and lacking in nuance, and passages of potentially transportative exoticism are devoid of magic.“
