  • AndyHat says:

Carnegie Hall hasn’t cancelled his March 31 performance yet, so I guess they’re hoping for a quick recovery?

  • Piano Lover says:

Not a big loss-his boring Bach P&F neither!

  • Norabide Guziak says:

    “Sir András Schiff regrets…”
    He’s unable to lunch today.

  • Amy says:

Praying he is safe at home healing and will feel much better soon!

  • Gabriel Parra Blessing says:

Hope he makes a quick recovery. I’m afraid his mediocrity, however, is terminal.

    • Karl says:

I heard him play live once in Montreal and he was great. His conducting is another matter apparently. He was so bad in rehearsal that the orchestra refused to play for him.

    • Kmepff says:

What terrible taste you have.. or more likely, jealousy abound.

  • Keith Clancy says:

His Bach Bartok and Beethoven Diabelli Variations in 2012 at Berkeley was the greatest and most moving piano recital I have ever seen.

  • Concerned in New York says:

kind of concerned that I am not seeing who I bought a ticket to see tonight at Carnegie Hall.. With all due respect for his replacement, this is not what I bought a ticket for. I’d prefer a credit to my account that I can apply to next year’s subscription.

  • Kmepff says:

Honestly don’t understand this unreasonable hate toward him. A very fine pianist. Jealousy is ugly… isn’t it.
