Belgium suspends theatre closures

The Council of State has overturned a decision by the Belgian Goverment to shut theatres and entertainment venues to the end of January.

This ought to mean an immediate reopening, but the Government has yet to respond.

      This is good news but the rule of maximum 200 spectators still applies. This effectively shuts down La Monnaie (seating capacity ca. 1100,) BOZAR (ca.2000), Conservatoire, (ca. 600), and Flagey (ca. 850). So, not such good news for classical music lovers …
