The veteran, highly accomplished composer Luis De Pablo died yesterday.

A member of the formative Group of 51, he leaves a Beethovenian legacy of around 150 works, many of them symphonic.

  • John Borstlap says:

    He wrote some fascinating music:

Much harks back to the Schoenberg of Pierrot Lunaire, suggesting expressive gestures in the background. But with a very personal twist. Very musical, spooky, full of fantasy.

  • Simon Holt says:

An excellent composer and surely one of Spain’s finest. A sad day.
