Hamburg drops opera director days before opening

Twelve days before the first night of Mozart’s Abduction from the Seraglio, the Hamburg State Opera has parted company with director Paul-Georg Dittrich ‘due to artistic incompatibilities.’ The decision was taken ‘with mutual respect.

Rehearsals have been taken over by David Bösch. The conductor is Adam Fischer.
