It would be interesting to know the proportions of non-vaxed (circumstantial), anti-vaxed (intentional), pre-ill, and vaxed cases among these 400 fatalities.
I wonder when the international health organizations will authorize expedited booster doses of the vaccine for musicians, with a death toll this high it appears that the virus is specifically targeting our brightest stars. Curious…
Let’s not forget the root cause of concert cancellations, unemployed musicians, lost wages, illness, and deaths: the lying incompetent and cruel Chinese Communist Party.
This provides a far greater threat to humanity than Covid-19. Paranoid regimes are always very very dangerous.
The western countries are paranoid because the success of an alternative governing system could outperform them. Just look at the Covid-19 management.
I had no idea Grey Gowrie had died. Yet another champion of the arts in general lost to the pandemic.
Neither his obituary in The Times nor that in The Guardian makes mention of Covid-19 as being the cause of his death. The Times says it was “after a long illness”.
His friend Ferdinand Mount wrote to the Times saying it was Covid-19.
Apologies to NL for missing that (in “Lives remembered”, 29 September 2021). The obit is a fascinating one, for instance in outlining that Earl Gowrie twenty years ago had been the recipient of an unusual “Domino” heart transplant carried out by the distinguished heart surgeon Magdi Yacoub.
