OrchestrasThe exceptional trumpeter and teacher Pierre Dutot died on August 24. He had played the trumpet professionally for 65 years.
Dutot played in the Orchestre National de Lyon and taught at the city’s conservatoire. He was a founder of the international brass ensemble Hexagone.
Anytime a trumpet player dies we rest easy because there is one less murderously frustrated and insanely risk-taking person in this world.
