She should be prosecuted for making false accusations about being strip searched and deported immediately after serving her jail sentence and banned from ever re-entering the country.
But if she’s telling the truth, I guess she sold her soul.
Because, I always sing for the country that strip searches me.
It reminds me of the old Emily Litella sketch that Gilda Radner used to do on Saturday Night Live: “Never mind.”
She’s turned into a substantially less talented Kathleen Battle with her racist antics.
So the truth comes out: it was all a fake, and she was using playing the race card for sympathy. Well, she can go and sing for “BLM” – I won’t cross the street to hear her, and there are any number of better (and less “woke”) singers to whom that work should have gone. Clearly a woke sellout
Wow. Every time you think the reactions of the bigots who roam this site can’t get any more disgusting, they get even more disgusting.
I see no bigotry here. She saw a PR opportunity, she tried to take it, it backfired. Examine her story closely – it’s ridiculous. No one strip searched her. She’s another PR hungry singer who will do anything for attention, apparently including trampling on the real stories of poc who really do get problems from police.
Or just a diva: how dare they question MOI?
She doesn’t need a “PR opportunity”, BLM or other. She happens to be talented, beautiful, and much in demand. Get over your bitchiness.

She needs all the PR she can get – a singer can never have enough. Especially a singer who’s willing, apparently, to lie to the media for sympathy. She doesn’t “need” BLM (who does?), but she’ll take any free race points she can get from them, too.

Lack of attention to detail like this is what shows you to be, well, busted.
She’s permanently enslaved to the white standards of Gelb and the other historically white opera houses seeing herself as inferior. No other stages can match the Met, Paris opera, Covent Garden, La Scala…all founded by whites.
However she curiously has not had a problem in non-white countries or venues.
Yende slightly reminiscent of Kathleen Battle who ultimately got fired and CANCELED by all of the major opera houses for her discriminatory, hateful behavior. Kathy was clearly better but still got axed due to her narcissism.
BLM, antifa and liberals can’t AFFORD to go to performances like this. Their little “activists, organizers” have handily raked in all of those donations for themselves and spent it on material things like houses in gentrified, white neighborhoods, cars, clothes, vacations and the like.
If not for wealthy, white donors there would be no opera or symphony halls.
However both Biden and Harris have done……WHAT to help?!?!

This in no way contradicts her assertion of what happened at the airport.
Yes, I do expect her to boycott a country that she publicly accused of “violating her human rights”, of “state sanctioned police brutality” against her, of making her “fear for her life”, of “systematic racism against blacks”, and of “violating her bodily integrity and sanctity”.
Artists boycotted South Africa for a lot less back in the 1980s.
If she had any integrity or self-dignity, she would boycott a country that did all those horrible, nasty, illegal, immoral things to her.
So either she’s lying and/or she thinks her career is worth the humiliation and gross violation of her self-hood, as a woman, as a black person.
She’s a lying liar.
Maybe she can make her own choices about who she boycotts, and you make your own choices about who you boycott.

From her own words you can easily she is a total liar, and (like many who lie outrageously) has a ridiculously inflated idea of her own importance. Read her original, ridiculous statement in the cold light of day – particularly this part:
“I was stripped and searched like a criminal offender and put on the retention cell on terminal 2B customs control Charles de Gaulle, Paris. It was cold in there, there was no light at the beginning, cold and grey…”
So they put her into a completely dark room? But it was “cold and grey”. So it wasn’t completely dark, then. (Made up).
Yeah, that didn’t happen.
(It was a “cold” room? Maybe it was air conditioned – why would it be any colder? Is she seriously expecting us to believe they essentially put her on ice? She’s grasping at straws to find violations).

Some cops laughed down the hall while on the job? What a human rights violation! She implies they were laughing at her, again, this is emotional fairy-tale-telling.

As if anyone would take the trouble and risk to even slightly depart from the stringent and rigorous policies that are followed in these matters – particularly to defend the officers and the system against frivolous lawsuits from just such people as this, who lie. None of this happened as she says, the loose language and the vague presentation punctuated by suspiciously clear “details” makes it plain. Her credibility is zero and she should hope no one calls her on it beyond the comments on this site. A good skeptical journalist ought to dig into this story – it would not go well for her. Jussie Smollett springs to mind.

Don’t you love black folks like Pretty Yende and others who succeed in an art form invented by whites, who sing music composed by whites, in languages invented by whites, in theaters built by whites but are quick to make up racist stories about whites, denounce “black face” and label opera as “racist”, “sexist” “patriarchal” at the first opportunity they get? Go create your own art form my brothers & sisters, compose your own music and perform in your own theaters! See how many tickets you sell. We don’t need your input, really. Opera has existed without your “help” for centuries, we’ll be okay. Stop sponging off an art created by whites then vilifying it every chance you get.
