The German conductor Christoph König has been named chief conductor of Spanish Radio Symphony Orchestra (RTVE) in Madrid.
Originally from Dresden, he is presently music director of the Solistes Européens Luxembourg.

He did some interesting work in London a few years back including the BBC Proms, and there have been thought-provoking recordings with the Solistes Européens Luxembourg. Good for him!
