East European names can be confusing, and Romanian names often terminate in the suffix ´-escu´.
But I am quite certain that the concertmaster of the Orquestra Simfònica de Barcelona is named Vlad Stănculeasa, not ´Stănculescu´.
He is also well acquainted with, and well-known in, Basel, having been previously the concertmaster of the Kammerorchester Basel.

An interesting footnote of violinistic genealogy: according to his website, Vlad Stănculeasa plays a Sanctus Seraphino that once belonged to George Enescu, then to Yehudi Menuhin.

His name is actually Vlad Stanculeasa.
Seems that the Orquestra Simfònica de Barcelona i Nacional de Catalunya needs to appoint not just another concertmaster, but also the associate concertmaster.
The new management team of Auditori in Barcelona, led by Robert Brufau, will leave the Barcelona Symphony in ashes, their programming has destroyed in a few months subscription percentatges and their approach is not satisfacory for the orchestra musicians. The fact the relatively new concertmaster is going away is a bad sign. This is an orchestra very difficult to manage and requires capacities, skills and involvement the new team is not up to deliver.
Vlad Stanculeasa will take up the position vacated by Soyoung Yoon. The latter has embarked on a solo carreer and did very well, at least until the onset of covid19.
