Yes, “A.L.” in a high risk group, well over 70 and a cancer survivor, she is taking the risk of travelling to Hamburg, being in contact with other people, all potential carriers, and playing in Hamburg. Such courage should not be taken for granted.
Quite remarkable when one recalls that, in her youth, she capriciously cancelled concerts by the dozens!

The concert looked like it was streamed live. They both played well. She was brilliant in Chopin’s Second Movement Scherzo and he was very fine in the Franck. Overall, a really enjoyable recital. Thank you Norman for the tip!
