Philly names Canadian v-p

The Philadelphia Orchestra has named Tanya Derksen vice president of artistic production, starting next month.

She is  executive director of Regina Symphony Orchestra in Saskatchewan and president of Orchestras Canada.

All of her career has been north of the border.

      Yes, indeed. I went to school with Tanya at Brandon, MB, and these characteristics were evident while she was still an undergrad. She’s also a very fine musician to boot and an excellent collaborative pianist. Congratulations Tanya!.
