Music adds value to the churchs’ product. They should pay for it like everyone else. They don’t get free wine, free Bibles, free candles, or free roof repairs. Why is this even a question?
Even with the new contract, they won’t pay like everyone else. GEMA offered the churches a massive discount compared to other venues. Eventually the Catholic Church came to its senses and accepted the deal.
