Bert Neumann, who designed Frank Castorf’s productions in Berlin for the past 25 years, has died – ‘suddenly and unexpectedly‘ – at 54.
An East Berliner who moved west in 1988, he was not picked to be part of Castorf’s Ring at Bayreuth.
