‘Russia’s Korngold’ dies, at 82

Misha Keylin, who premiered his violin concerto, informs us of the death in Prague after a long illness of  Vladislav Kladnitsky, one of the most successful composers in the Russian film industry.

A 1969 score for Pavel Kadochnikov’s The Snow Maiden established his lifelong appeal. Some considered him the Korngold of Russian movies.
