  • I had the great pleasure of meeting Mr Hvorostovsky last year after his final performance in Traviata at the ROH.I told him I was recovering from cancer and how much that evening had delighted me and encouraged me to keep fighting. He seized me in a bear hug and said he was honoured that I’d travelled to see him.He is a gentleman of the first rank and I wish him a full recovery from his illness.

  • Get well Dimitri! Thoughts and prayers of many opera and musik lovers are with you.
You should overcome this, we all hope.

  • Wishing Gaspodin Hvorostovsky well, may he have the necessary fortitude and medical advice to overcome this disease. . . . he is known for his generosity, humour and humanity; the whole music world is holding its breath for a speedy and complete recovery!

  • I was lucky enough to hear Mr.Hvorostovsky perform three times in Los Angeles at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. Each time was more thrilling than the last. At one recital,he was kind enough to greet his fans post-performance, and I was fortunate enough to meet him.I was recovering from a serious surgery, and getting to shake his hand and say hello was a healing moment. He was gracious, gorgeous and so very kind to all who came to meet him after the recital….and it was a long line! What a mensch he is!
I am sure he will recover, as heaven watches over it’s own.We all are praying and in my heart there is a certitude he will recover. All positive healing thoughts to the beautiful and brilliant Dmitri! Sincerely, Linda Gruenberg,Malibu,California

  • Hello Dmitri,

I hope you do not mind the first name introduction. You are the greatest. Oh how I wish I could meet you and sing for you. I am a very young 79 year old guy, but what is more important than anything else is for you to get better. I am going to Ukraine January 1st, but with you in London and with the slight setback you are experiencing, meeting you ths time around is not possible. Again my prayers and bestt wishes for you and your family. Blessings, Winthrop Hewitt Buswell (Buzz)
