Dog upstages violin recital…. again
mainIt’s that time of year again. We had one of these last summer.
The performer here is Rafael Altino.

Rach Cello sonata adapted?
How strange to hear this on a violin…..obviously the dog thunk so too, what a wag!
Even stranger is hearing that “violin” sound like an awful lot like a viola 😉
Let the viola jokes begin….
*sound
likean awful lot like a viola…swype writing at it’s best
*its*…bloody h*ll
…shurely shome mishtake…? “sounds a lot like an awful viola…” rather. What could be viler?
Indeed, the hound’s scratchuosity distracted me…. flea in my ear?
Sonata in Flea Major
…by Scratchmaninoff.
At leashed, the hound didn’t miss his lead in….
…and he was collar voce…
Was there no able-bodied person who could have removed the dog? What an insult to the musician!! I note it had no collar either which, where I live, is an instant call to the pound and removal by the dog-catcher.
Doggone it, Sue – lighten up!
I just detest dogs and seeing them scratch their fleas during a music performance is the absolute pits. That’s one place I would expect to be free of the miserable wretches.
You’re right! So disrespectful. The dog should not have scratched, but just taken it!
Apparently she (the dog, not Sue) is a staple at that church. According to the violist, the dog ordinarily sleeps on her bed off to one side of the stage, or goes out front to play with the other dogs. This is her first “offense,” if offense there be.
Rachmaninoff loved dogs, by the way, as this quick Google Image search reveals.

So there’s a dog, scratching itself while two people make music….big whoop. Stop your outrage and complaining, snowflake.
I hope that was directed at Sue and not me, since of course I was being facetious. But if “snowflake” refers to how I bear up under the summer heat, then I will own it.
@Ross Amico
My post was indeed directed at Sue and may have a scintilla of sarcasm to it.
As for being a snowflake when it comes to bearing up under the summer heat, I too will admit to being guilty as charged.
His name is Rafael Altino, not Rafael Violino. Therefore an “Alto-Viola-Bratche” recital, not a violin recital.
At least the dog had the good manners not to clap between movements!
Dogs rule!
