Opéra de Paris is exposed on TV as a dangerous workplace

A report on France 2 warns that the 450 technicians at the Opéra are working under ‘exceptional risks’ of fire, falls and crushing.

According to the documentary, there have been accidents in Werther and Magic Flute. Nine technicians were injured in one year.

No mention of singers.

    Actually, a few years ago, a certain tenor was, in fact, drenched by the contents of an overturned bucket of water emanating from the lighting gantry. It was an accident, apparently…

    Epouvantable….. Typically, to prevent the butterfly attention span cracking-down under the weight of cultural information – after all, it is about opera -, the video is acoustically ‘supported’ by lively pop music.
