The pianist, composer and radio personality Ramsey Lewis has died in his native Chicago.

He made 80 albums and won 3 Grammys.

    A great talent. He did a fantastic recording of the Allegretto movement from the Brahms 3rd Symphony. RIP.

    The Ramsay Lewis recordings of The In Crowd and Cast Your Fate to the Wind were two of my favorites during college, 1964-1968. I liked the Lewis recording of Cast Your Fate to the Wind better than the original Grammy winner by Vince Guaraldi
