Trouble in Mind by actress and playwright Alice Childress is a radical satire of racism in theatre set in 1950s America. Tanya Moodie gives a blistering performance as Wiletta Mayer, an experienced Black actress who is tired of playing maids and is cast in a new play about racism – written and directed by two white men. When she objects to the way the story is being told, sparks fly.
