NewsThe Scottish pop singer Emeli Sandé has named a classical pianist, Yoana Karemova, as the new love in her life.
Emeli, 35, was previously married to Adam, a marine biologist from Montenegro.
The popular singer is also chancellor of the University of Sunderland.
She has tweeted this picture of her new happiness with this message: ‘It’s taken me many years to find the strength to be myself. I’ve struggled for a long time to accept myself as I am. I’m so lucky to have found my soul mate Yoana, she’s such an extraordinary woman! Falling in love with her gave me the strength I needed! Feels so good to be in love and I feel happier than ever.’
She has also long been keen on piano accompaniment.
Yoana Karemova is a piano teacher. She has participated in masterclasses with Norma Fisher, Lazar Berman and Idil Biret.
