RIPThe eminent Turkish composer Alaeddin Yavaşça, who has died aged 95, was also one of the country’s leading obstetricians.
He entered Istanbul University School of Medicine as a student in 1954 and served in its major hospitals for more than four decades.
He composed 80 works and delivered innumerable new lives.
It’s taking the notion of bringing works into the world into a whole new range.
