Biz news: Universal chief departs
NewsWe understand that Graham Parker ceased on Tuesday to be President Universal Music classics & jazz in the US and has left the company.
There are no other changes to the team.
If there’s more to report, you’ll read it here first, as usual.
Parker, who is English, was previously General Manager of WQXR, the New York classical music radio station. He became US head of Universal just over five years ago.
This is a big loss for Universal. Someone else’s gain to-be, no doubt.
Absolutely, and has to be concerning for releases in the pipeline…
