Lola you didn’t miss me!
At least Norman can still get somewhat hard.
No mention of Obama’s preferred classical musicians??? So racist!
I didn’t miss you also!
“Pleased you’re back ???” Speak for yourself, NL
When it’s Lola and the more talented miss Wang… the others one like Beatrice Rana and Yeol Eum Son don’t exist here…
Claire Huangci is really good too. She’s the winner of the first prize and the Mozart prize at the 2018 Geza Anda Competition. She wears too many clothes though.
She has a Scarlatti album out that is really good. She also played the Chopin E minor concerto with my orchestra a few seasons ago, and was wonderful.
Trump will love this.
“Trump will love this.”
Given the chance… 😉
You mean he would appreciate her physique.
Trump took to the next level Lord Arthur Goring’s dictum “to love oneself is beginning of a life long romance” (Oskar Wilde, An ideal husband).
Is he STILL not in jail?!
He’s not going to jail. Nothing will happen to him.
I agree with BruceB: the Democrats need Trump just like he needs them. Nothing will happen to him. Remember when the Dems claimed they would do something once they got his tax returns? That was long ago and nothing happened. Besides, if they did something to him they know who will be next (themselves).
Mostly I meant the Republicans in Congress won’t allow anything to happen to him. You are probably right about the Democrats though.
More baseless accusations rooted in delusion by the likes of RW2013 as Biden slips further into mental illness every single day.
What mental illness? Please cite credible sources.
How about the New York Times, the Associated Press and Pacific Standard?
Biden’s string of lies forced his humiliating retreat from the ‘88 Presidential run. As illustrated by the numerous videos, he also clearly personifies the Dunning–Kruger effect.
He’s proven himself mentally unfit and a perfect template to exercise the 25th amendment.

Not yet…..
‘RW’ is too RIGHT WING!
Stop to check your White Privilege and don’t post anything else anymore. Lebrecht needs to CANCEL you and your hate.
looking forward to the Beethoven Violin Sonatas full cycle with Lola and Andre Rieu, must be thrilling
Not fair. Rieu is at least a real musician. Maybe he doesn’t play the kind of music you prefer, but he’s not a charlatan.
(There used to be a subcategory of classical music called “Light Classics” or “Salon Music.” People who were good at it were respected for their expertise within their field. But that was a long time ago.)
And the best in light classics was Beecham.

Too bad orchestras like the Boston Pops seem to be drifting away from this category.

“TRUMP’S WHITE HOUSE PIANIST IS BACK”
Idiocy. She played a gig or two at the White House. So now she’s “Trump’s WH pianist”? Give her a break! She’s just trying to make a living!
So she may not be the second coming of Argerich, but I can’t understand the negative comments surrounding her, unless they are powered by jealousy.
NL enjoys obsessing about good-looking female pianists. Doesn’t matter if they’re good or not: if there’s a picture with cleavage (and some offer more of those pictures than others), he’s all over it, so to speak.
It brings in the clicks.
To be fair, NL also covered the “anatomical bits” (not so bitty, evidently) of Teodor Currentzis in the movie “DAU” …

Norm has always sexualized young women. It’s ok. They don’t resist. Yuja does it herself as part of her act.
It’s also powered by what is called TDS – Trump Derangement Syndrome. If you don’t treat Trump like the anti-Christ then you must be evil too. Then you get targeted for destruction.
When you look more like an actor trying to mimic the movements of a concert pianist, and with an Ooo-lo-la decolletage as your main selling point, you set yourself up for some ridicule. Nice pedaling, though.
As I’ve said before: I set one of these videos playing in a separate tab and then went about my business. When the piece ended, I was taken a little bit by surprised because I’d stopped noticing that there was music even playing — kind of like when your fridge turns off.
When I did the same thing with Stephen Kovacevich’s 120th Birthday recital, his phrasing and musicianship kept distracting me from what I was doing.
I’m certainly not interested in seeing either of them naked, but I know which one I’d rather listen to.
I think she fits very well with the Turkish soap operas. She has finally found herself.
Trump had a pianist in the White House? His favorite piece is Itsy Bitsy Spider.
Do we commonly identify concert pianists primarily by way of the POTUS they performed for? I do not recall Van Cliburn being called LBJ’s pianist, Eugene List as Harry Truman’s pianist, Enrique Granados as Woodrow Wilson’s pianist (although Paderewski had as strong a claim), nor Teresa Carreño as Lincoln’s pianist (although again Louis Moreau Gottschalk had equal right to the title). Richard Nixon was his own pianist.
Harry Truman was also his own pianist. First it was a book by Turkish writer and I read it in 1950th and all sentimental women cry reading. I didn’t. Lola’s not sentimental-she’s all about selling herself.
Obviously, since the 60d we haven’t we always referred to Casals as Kennedy’s cellist?
if she knocked on my door. i would ask
her to stay.
Agreed, henry!
I hope she does, for your sake.
