Ballet chief who sacked pregnant dancer is fired
mainYorgos Loukos, Greek director of the Lyon Ballet, has been dismissed after a hearing found that he discriminated against a dancer, Karline Marion, 34, during her pregnancy and after her return from childbirth.
Loukos, 67, was initially fined for the offence.
A second tribunal has taken a harsher view of his conduct.
More detail here.
I wonder if he will be removed as Vice President of the Jury for the upcoming Prix de Lausanne?
Surely. He must be thoroughly punished. Otherwise, I have images of Streisand ‘dancing’ in “Funny Girl” when pregnant.
