Jenny Lind leaves cash to young Swedish soprano
mainIn the Swedish Nightingale’s bicentennial year, the Jenny Lind stipend has been awarded to Tessan-Maria Lehmussaari.
A young artist with the Drottningholm baroque theatre, she will spend some of the money appropriately on a US tour.
Any Barnums out there?
My college had a dorm named “Jenny Lind”. I’m always amused when that name shows up in media.
Who administers the stipend? I couldn’t find any info on it.
