For real? This video documents one of the worst classical music concerts. One can hear that a serious pianist should not play Beethoven’s last sonata without knowing the other 31 sonatas previously composed. It takes a long research to find such a banal and boring interpretation of op 106. Miss Wang will not get a seat in the piano heaven!

Yuja has said in interviews many times that whilst she is the age where she can wear short skirts she will, when she gets older and doesn’t feel she can any longer then she won’t. What’s wrong with that?

Instagram was invented to give teenagers something to do with all the selfies they shoot with their smart phones. But they’re all so busy posting their photos that nobody is looking at anybody else’s pix. Oh, and the teenagers are now, technically, adults. But they haven’t grown up.
Back to the topic: Yuja can dress as she pleases. If you like her playing but her wardrobe bothers you, don’t look at Instagram or go to her concerts in person. Listen to radio broadcasts/webcasts of her concerts, such as the *excellent* Shostakovich Concerto No. 1 she did with the BSO last Saturday night. (I was listening on the web and so totally not distracted.)
She is quite brilliant, it has to be said.

Someone should also note how great the BSO trumpet player, Thomas Rolfs was in this concert. I attended the Thursday evening performance. I have never heard such incredible playing.

It is no great secret that Yuja isn’t considered attractive in Asian society. Non Asians are obviously unaware of the standards in Asia and, compared to your typical Arby’s eating American female , Yuja has a nice figure. Yuja knows this and is playing it for all it’s worth. Quite pathetic in my opinion.
Women soloists will probably be playing naked in 10 years to keep the audience interested. Meanwhile, men are still in the stiff attire they’ve worn for hundreds of years.

At last, Yuja not only shows us both her bare thighs at the same time, she also shows that she is wearing a slip under her dress. Now fans just have to know: Is it maybe a thong?
What is applauded here: the pianistic performance or the pianist’s thighs? As a concert goer, you can expect a concert pianist to have respect for her audience, so she also dresses respectfully. Not every concert goer, not all orchestra members appreciate it when uninvited bare thighs are unpacked in front of them and the cutting of a dress allows glimpses of the briefs worn by Miss Wang. Miss Wang can play the piano, but she has no sensitivity and no culture. Her style includes performing in hot pants and a top made entirely of fabric strips in a Swiss church or in concerts in Istanbul. Miss Wang apparently wants to provoke. Therefore, for me she is not a serious artist, but a foolish girlie who puts her own intentions above music, musicians and the audience. With her questionable outfits, she violates rules of aesthetics, cultural decency and respect. But she is clever and knows how male brains react when you offer them female nudity and sexual stimuli: men then switch off their minds – they react in the Stone Age. The show also the numerous comments under the Youtube movies.
After a performance, numerous orchestra members around the world bet on whether the critics will first comment on the performance, or her attire. 9 times out of 10 it is about the outfit. The sad state of music criticism.
