A fourth maestro falls sick
mainMichael Tilson Thomas has just cancelled on the London Symphony Orchestra’s Finnish tour.
Dima Slobodeniouk will replace him on 13 June.
Here’s who else has cancelled today.
UPDATE: Health alert over maestro virus.
Why is Russia trying to make so many conductors so sick? What is their end game here?
It’s due to a computer virus, spread through the music agencies.
…and they are hoping that Mr. Gergiev will dominate the world.
Gergiev doesn’t need any boost from sick maestros: he’s the greatest.
When the bus conductors went on strike in Belfast, they called in Arlene Foster and her enforcer, they went back to work the same day. Why not give Arlene a call.

Dima is actually a finn born in Russia…
Slobodeniouk is a Ukrainian surname. Writing in Gramophone in 2013, Guy Rickards described Dima Slobodeniouk as ‘Russian-born, Finnish-resident’. The Opera Musica web site describes him as ‘Moscow-born’.
Evidently conducting has its secret hazards…
I’m available.
