Guess who's nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize… it's the Dude's own Dude
mainThe international Academy of Hagiography, a group that generally proposes new saints to the Pope, has made a rare nomination to the Oslo committee that awards the Nobel Peace Price. They would like the 2012 award to go to José Antonio Abreu, creator of Venezuela’s sistema, which galvanises poor kids from the barrios and turns them into professional musicians, sometimes into world stars.
The grounds for the award, they argue, is that he has given hope to 300,000 children in Venezuela and taken his ‘music for social action’ programme to countries all around the world.

This is great news. He truly deserves such an award.
