Katharina Wagner: Andris Nelsons might return
mainIn a pre-festival interview in which she says nothing at all, the Bayreuth boss gives the strongest indication yet that the trouble this summer was between two conductors – Nelsons and Thielemann.
She adds that in conflicts between artists, the buck stops at her desk.

Imagine two high-profile artistic talents getting into a spat!!! Never heard of it before. What’s the world coming to?
“[…] the Bayreuth boss gives the strongest indication yet that the trouble this summer was between two conductors – Nelsons and Thielemann.”
This is only true if you trust her. Reading the words form Mrs. Wagner one has to keep in mind that she is quite under fire, currently. In every German newspaper it is discussed that the management will have to do at least _something_ with all that (Meese gone, Nelsons gone, Wilson displaced). Whether or not Thielemann has something to do with the Nelson case, Wagner will be quite interested to distract focus from her. Thielemann recently gave an extensive interview to the Sueddeutsche in which he strictly denied any hassle with Nelsons (http://www.sueddeutsche.de/kultur/bayreuther-festspiele-wagners-ohren-1.3059280). So, who is right? We can just speculate. Only Nelsons will know for sure (although he might even not know himself).
I agree. Thielemann is usually presumed guilty, not necessarily on the basis of facts.
Because he doesn’t subscribe to the bien pensant political ideology. Bullies and Thought Police all.
