Early last month, London agent Nicholas Moloney left Intermusica to join AskonasHolt.

He has been followed out of the door today by his star attraction, the leading English mezzo-soprano Alice Coote.

Intermusic, by way of contra, have signed Askonas mezzo Kayleigh Decker.

Never heard of Kayleigh Decker – obviously my ignorance no doubt, but Alice Coote is a household name. At 55, she has been around for many years as a very fine and classy singer.

No doubt a shame for Intermusica to lose her, but she only came over from IMG a year previous, so I doubt there would have been any financial loss. Also never heard of Decker, but the CV looks strong, so will keep an ear out!

You soon will! Absolutely lovely singer, her Dorabella at WNO was a thing of real beauty both vocally and dramatically.

  • ML says:

Intermusica is a big agency with lots of brilliant singing talents. Maybe Alice Coote was offered a good rate to join Askonas Holt. It’s not uncommon for artists change agencies- both AH and Intermusica have lots of excellent singers.

Amazing mezzo. One of the best I’ve ever heard. If you don’t know of her you clearly don’t have a pulse on opera and must have fallen out of a coconut tree. Great choice by her to navigate to better growth opportunities.
