The waning UK radio network has recruited the the British-Italian tenor Freddie De Tommaso to present a six-part series, Notes from Italy.

It starts Friday at 9pm.

All together now: relax!

    Good for him, but I hope this doesn’t mean that he’s aiming mainly at the crossover market? He’s far too good for that at this stage of his career.

    Freddie is the real deal as far as voice goes….. At least it’s not the Go Compare tenor who kicked off Friday Night is Music Night on R3 – atrocious singing, worthy of a pub night
