The French conductor Alexandre Bloch (pictured) has quit AskonasHolt for Stefana Atlas’s Arabella boutique. Bloch is outgoing music director of the Orchestre National de Lille, where he has been since 2016.

Also on the move is the German conductor André de Ridder, General Music Director of Theater Freiburg. Ridder has quit K D Schmid for HarrisonParrott.

    Why do so many conductors have the long hair look? As in the movies? Is it part of their job description?
