The Israeli conductor Bar Avni, 34, won the all-women conducting competition in Paris last night.

We understand the judging was free and fair, with none of the contestants having a connection with any member of the jury.

One of the judges tells slippeddisc.com that Avni is a genuine talent who got real results out of the Paris orchestra. She needs to take things slowly and not clasp the first agent who steps out of the woods.

Now Slippedisc is a place for transmitting advices to the heroes of the news. Klaus, take a break! Esa-Pekka, think twice! Yannick, enough of suits!

“ She needs to take things slowly and not clasp the first agent who steps out of the woods.”

Bar Avni is already represented by Sheldon Artists.

You mean this grandpa who is unable to update his website, which looks like it’s from the 90s anyway, and list artists who left him months ago?

  • Sarcasmus says:

well deserved. Deserving like the Israeli Miss Germany 2024. Now that Ukrainians are not in trend, is good to see that Israeli are sweeping everything.

Brava La Maestra! She is very Talented!

  • Alexandra55 says:

As a female conductor, I would not like to be the winner of a conducting competition that automatically eliminates the vast majority of the potential competitors.

  • Andrew says:

Great news. Heard her only once, and she is a genuine talent.

  • Judith says:

I needed some good news to share. Mazaltov to Bar.

  • Zandonai says:

La Maestra? In Hollywood, the female actors do not like the term ‘actress’. I am sure the ‘maestre’ would like to be called ‘maestro’.
