Conductor wears Gaza hostage ribbon at Covent Garden
NewsThis is the Canadian-Ukrainian conductor Keri-Lynn Wilson taking a curtain call after La Boheme at Covent Garden. She is wearing the yellow ribbon in solodarity with the Israeli hostages kidnpapped by Hamas and held in Gaza tunnels.
Wilson is married to the Metropolitan Opera general manager Peter Gelb.

Her work with the Ukrainian Freedom Orchestra qualifies as something a little more than virtue signalling, wouldn’t you say? It is, however, true that she is by background not Ukrainian at all.
Her hair colour and her height, apparently. I wasn’t aware that a solidarity ribbon conferred nationality. Still, if she has come out vocally in support of the remaining Israeli hostages as well as against the barbaric, sub-human behaviour of those worthless terrorists then she’s welcome to any passport she may covet, in my book.
It is so heartwarming that she has done this.

Hanas has not killed 20,000 Jews, so Israel has had no reason to kill 20,000 Palestinians and counting, including many children.
Their glorious government Hamas has been using them as human shields, hence the total. Israel has been warning civilians to leave sites before bombing. What other country does that?
