Natasha Worsley, who worked with a raft of busy artists as senior artists manager at AH, has joined Intermusica in the same role.

Her artist contacts were:  Nicole Car and Etienne Dupuis, Ian Bostridge, Deborah Warner, Claire van Kampen, Karen Cargill, Anna Prohaska, Avery Amereau, and Sasha Cooke.

  • UK Arts Manager says:

The main names on that list however remain at Askonas: singers Ian Bostridge, Anna Prohaska, Sasha Cooke, Nicole Car, Avery Amereau and Karen Cargill are still today showing on the Askonas lists under the umbrella of the hugely experienced Sue Spence, and stage directors Claire van Kampen and Deborah Warner are still looked after at Askonas by Keiron Cooke.

Both these well-established Askonas managers have assistants so maybe at Askonas there will just be a bit of internal juggling as to who are the assistants who will now sort the nuts and bolts.

According to Intermusica’s website, Natasha Worsley will start there on 19 February, and it looks as if she’s been hired to add another pair of hands there in the vocal and opera team. It so far doesn’t look as if she’s taken any Askonas artists with her (and there are few more experienced singer managers to stick with than Sue Spence), but who knows what might happen in the future?

  • Viewfromthemanager'sdesk says:

Not much of a loss. And doubt any of her starrier singers are going with her.

  • Over the pond says:

Definitely AH gain and Intermusica loss.

  • Stuart says:

Musical chairs for managers between Askonas Cult and HinterMusica.

  • DL says:

Congratulations Natasha and Intermusica. I’ve heard great things about her from fellow casting pros.

I’ve got to say, this isn’t the first time I’ve noticed petty and pretty blatant sniping from Askonas employees on this site, and it’s really unattractive. In over 30 years, I haven’t seen this kind of behavior from any other agency.

I know a lot of your top-level managers who are decent, professional people, and I’ll be bringing this up with them directly, because if this reflects your company’s culture, it seriously needs a major overhaul.

    • mezzomerry says:

Perhaps ask one of the many singers that worked with her that is staying at Askonas. If they loved her work, they would follow her.

      • SG says:

I doubt that’s how it works these days, there must be certain legal restrictions. Time will tell. When it comes to agencies, the lists don’t lie.

  • Outsider says:

Don’t it always seem to go
That you don’t know what you’ve got ’til it’s gone
They paved paradise, put up a parking lot.

  • AM says:

Can’t we do better than this online bullying? Whether it’s writing nasty comments about Natasha or accusing staff at Askonas Holt of being responsible for the posts, none of it’s true. Believe it or not, everyone being mentioned most likely have more important things to do. Bullying and gossip is shameful and *never* the answer. If you’ve got nothing nice to say, don’t anything at all.
