Oh, to ever hear her play the 4th or 5th cto! (Yeah, I know …)

  • Barry says:

Seeing her perform this concerto live – with Dutoit and Philadelphia – is a memory I’ll always cherish.

    • Hal Sacks says:

We were so fortunate that Dutoit was able to convince Martha to join him in Philadelphia. He was then Principal Conductor of the orchestra.

  • Ludwig's Van says:

I understand her hesitation to play my 4th concerto, but my 5th should be right down her alley!

  • soavemusica says:

She most probably played an encore, her favourite being the Schumann. It should be included.

  • Herr Forkenspoon says:

She is sublime. I wish the cameras would stop leaping about, this isn’t rock and roll.

  • GuestX says:

What a good orchestra. And four young female bassoonists – William Osborne would be pleased.
