The latest episode of Zsolt Bognar’s Living the Classical Life engages with Lucy Dhegrae, a singer who overcame horrific personal trauma by finding peace inside her art. Singing, she says, is a full-body experience.

Her universal message, in these terrible times, is that healing is possible.

She directs the Resonant Bodies Festival, an annual festival of new and experimental vocal music, which she founded in 2013. And she and her husband are committed and active addressing serious social issues. These are the kind of classical music artists that keep classical music alive.

For God’s sakes! Who in their right mind gives a thumbs-down to your comment? Probably someone more interested in what kind of cars the maestri drive or who has been drinking his own urin? The lack of respect for a person who has had such a traumatic experience and has pulled herself by the bootstraps in the good ole American way is absolutely horrible!!!
