This is the 7th of her 13 encores in Wuhan.

And the dress allowance doesn’t cover much.

    Nice but a bit overdressed

  • FP says:

I’ll quote the great Zero Mostel from The Producers: That’s it, baby! When ya got it, flaunt it, flaunt it!!

  • Orchestral fan says:

Best part is the comments under the video! I’m really curious what the liberal/conservative split is in classical music audiences. I’ve read it is different for every genre (orchestral, operatic, quartet, solo piano, etc)

  • msc says:

I’m sure her clothing annoyed the CCP, and so I’m all for it.

  • Calmydia says:

Half-naked Chinese women semi-sights-read Chopin 1st ballada from score. Could be a Pornhub video with 56 views. But this is oNe Of tHe gReAtEsT pIaNiStS oF oUr TiMe

    • Your friend from Twitter says:

The one that has been consistently marketed as “the greatest pianist of his generation” is Trifonov. You know this very well, Prof. McManus. Your idol is also not a patch on Yuja Wang no matter how much shit you write about her online.

      • Karin Becker says:

There is “no best pianist” in the world.

If anyone should get a crown, then it should be Sokolov. He dispenses with almost all outward appearances and his art touches the soul.
The Chinese woman’s shows, on the other hand, touch the libido of quite a few viewers. It is well known that men who watch videos with Wang at home masturbate during them. Wang makes some men happy.

    • TITUREL says:

What a pitiful, little kvetcher are you. CHLAMydia, indeed. A bit jealous, are we?

  • Marshall says:

So tired of her and her clothing! Why not have all piano recitals behind screens-then what pianists are wearing won’t be seen , and she can concentrate on her music-you know music-saying something. (Also from a technical point of view she seems to have trouble with the pedals with those absurd high heels-feminists don’t wear high heels.)

She needs music? I don’t care how many encores she played-the Ballade is nothing to write home about-there is nothing interesting in it. We all know she has fabulous technical skills, but she has always failed to move me.

  • zayin says:

She might as well just perform seated on a Philippe Starck Ghost chair.

  • Winnie says:

Her ultra high heels give her perfect posture at the piano, all 90°

  • Karin Becker says:

Wang provides the dazzling epitome of the modern woman, as men in particular like it: dressed like a dancer in a club, the only thing missing is the pole, the very tight shirt in innocent white, she could also be a piano student in a girls’ boarding school. She masters various challenges: Accident-free walking in ultra-high heels and handling a tablet on which she reads the digitised score. What man wouldn’t be enamoured? However, the modernity is just an attitude: in essence, Wang’s show is nothing more than a copy of a common female image: the sexiness of a styled, eye-catching mannequin, decorated with modern technology.
She can also play the piano. But who in the audience is interested in that? The jeering audience celebrates and demands encores so that she can strut her laboutins again and again in front of the excited eyes of her admirers

    • Shoumo Mukherjee says:

If I didn’t see your name I would think you were a misogynistic Mullah or a Taliban. There are retarded Indians who call white ballet dancers and gymnasts whores you, seeing your preserve slip away write like a savage .

  • Tim Walton says:

I hope they’ve got the heating on otherwise she catch a cold!

  • Essardee says:

Her heels make up for her dress in their excess. But wait, why is she using “music” for an encore, and why is she playing a piece that is not an encore? Does she lack musical culture?
