An youngish death for such a long career. R.I.P. Master.

A wonderful long career, but still sad to read of this. His set of the Mozart violin concertos with György Pauk is a good choice if you can find it. Rolla conducted but also played violin (Concertone) and viola (Sinfonia Concertante) in that set.

Very sad. Just this week I was listening to the lovely Mozart piano concerto recordings that Rolla and his orchestra made with Zoltán Kocsis. We are slowly losing the fine musicians that graduated from the Liszt Academy in the late 1960s and early 70s. I will listen to those recordings again tonight. R.I.P. maestro Rolla.
